“How to Obey God’s Word” – October 10th, 2019

“How to Obey God’s Word” – October 10th, 2019

Dear Church Family, The classic hymn, “Trust and Obey” summarizes living the Christian life in a few words and has been an inspiration to countless saints over the years. The challenge, of course, is how to trust and how to obey. Like so many things in life, it is easier to say than to do. This Sunday morning we will be spending time gleaning insights  from Philippians 2:12-13. The message title is “How to Obey God’s Word.” Other verses that will help prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Acts 9:6, I Thessalonians 5:23-24, and Isaiah 57:15. May the Lord grant us another special time with Him and one another. May you experience the joy of obeying the Lord throughout the rest of the week. God bless you and have a wonderful day! “The Rewards of Humility” – October 2nd, 2019

“The Rewards of Humility” – October 2nd, 2019

Dear Church Family, Discerning whether something is worth doing or being is an important decision that we all make on occasion. Is it worth my effort to spend time with the Lord each morning? Is it worth getting to bed early and missing my favorite shows? Is it worth being a man of high integrity in the work place? The list goes on and on. Which raises the question, “ Is it worth being truly humble by not promoting myself, sacrificing myself for the good of others, and submitting to God’s will and not my own?” On Sunday we will be looking at Philippians 2:9-11. The message title is “ The Rewards of Humility.” Other verses that will prepare your heart for our study are Hebrews 1:4, Hebrews 2:9, and Matthew 28:18. Thank you for reading these verses and preparing your heart for our time in God’s Word. May you walk humbly with our God today and always. God bless you and stay close to Jesus! In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“Humility at Its Best” – September 25th, 2019

“Humility at Its Best” – September 25th, 2019

Dear Church Family, Seeing the best of anything is a treat. For instance, seeing the best figure skater in the world is a privilege. Seeing the most beautiful mountain in the world is magnificent. Seeing the best opera voice in the world perform live can send chills down the spine of anyone watching and listening. The same can be said of seeing any godly virtue on display. On Sunday we will be examining the classic passage, Philippians 2:5-8. The title of the message is “Humility at Its Best.” Other verses that will prepare you for Sunday’s message are Luke 14:11, Numbers 12:1-3, Matthew 18:1-4. I am looking forward to sharing about the greatest example of humility that this world has ever known. On Sunday evening the short term mission team that went to Canada will be sharing about their trip this summer. As a participant in that trip, I can tell you that is should be a great evening. Until Sunday, may you please the Lord by walking humbly with Him. In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“The Keys to Unity” – September 18th, 2019

“The Keys to Unity” – September 18th, 2019

Dear Church Family, You have to love a team, a family, or a church that runs like a well-oiled machine. Everything runs smoothly. Problems seem to resolve themselves, everyone is content, and the accomplishments of the group are greater than what the individuals could do on their own. You have to love a well-oiled machine. This Sunday morning we will be examining Philippians 2:1-4. The title of the sermon is “ The Keys to Unity.” Other verses that will give you a sense for where the sermon is headed are Proverbs 13:10, Daniel 6:1-4, and I Corinthians 4:7. May the Lord bless our worship, fellowship, and proclamation of His Word on Sunday morning. The morning will also feature a combined Sunday School session with Karen Foster, our missionary to Cameroon. Abby Floom will share with us her experience as a short-term missionary to Brazil on Sunday evening at 7:00pm. It should be a great day! May the Lord give you a great day as you cooperate with others to serve Him. In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“Living as a Citizen of Heaven” – September 11th, 2019

“Living as a Citizen of Heaven” – September 11th, 2019

Dear Church Family, As citizens of the United States we want to represent our country well when we visit other countries. It reflects well on the entire nation. The same can be said for a poor representation when we visit a foreign land. As citizens of heaven we want to represent our heavenly country and our King well too. How can we do this? On Sunday we will be looking at Philippians 1:27-30. The title of the message is “Living as a Citizen of Heaven.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Philippians 3:20, I Peter 2:11-12, and Colossians 1:9-11. May the Lord bless our time as we sit under the authority of His Word. May we reflect upon being citizens of the United States on 9/11 and more importantly being citizens of heaven. God bless you and have a great day! Because of Jesus, Pastor...
