“Making Fun of Jesus” – August 14th, 2024

“Making Fun of Jesus” – August 14th, 2024

Dear Church Family, Nobody likes it when people make fun of them. Nobody likes to be insulted. Nobody likes to be ridiculed. Nobody likes to be mocked. It’s especially frustrating when we are innocent and have done nothing to trigger the deluge of daggers. That was the prelude to our Lord’s death on the cross. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 27:27-31. The title of the message is “Making Fun of Jesus.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Psalm 35:15-16,  Matthew 20:18-19, and Romans 14:11-12. May God bless our time in this holy portion of His Word. May your heat be filled with joy and awe as you reflect on what Jesus went through for you. God bless you and stay close to Jesus! All for Jesus, Pastor...

“What Shall I Do With Jesus?” – August 7th, 2024

“What Shall I Do With Jesus?” – August 7th, 2024

Dear Church Family, Everyone has important decisions to make. Some are more important than others. Do I go to college? Which college do I attend? Should I marry? Who should I marry? How much debt can I afford when buying a house? Which doctor should I see? However, the greatest question of all is “What shall I do with Jesus?” On Sunday morning we will be studying Matthew 27:15-26. The title of the message is “What Shall I Do With Jesus?” Other verses that will give you a sneak peek preview of the message are Deuteronomy 30:18-20, Matthew 7:13-14, and  John 5:39-45. May the Lord bless our time together on Sunday morning. May you choose to say “yes” to Jesus today in the little choices of life. God bless you and have a great day! Because of Jesus, Pastor...

“Proving the Innocence of Jesus” – July 31st, 2024

“Proving the Innocence of Jesus” – July 31st, 2024

Dear Church Family, It is a wonderful feeling to be innocent in the eyes of God. He knows all things including whether we are guilty or innocent of any accusation. It can be much more difficult to prove our innocence before people. People don’t know everything, may be biased, and may not want the truth to prevail. Innocence before God is one thing. Innocence before man is another. On Sunday we will see that the Spotless One was innocent before God and man. Our text is Matthew 27:11-14. The title of the message is “Proving the Innocence of Jesus.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are 2 Chronicles 24:20-22, Luke 23:5, and I Timothy 6:13. I am looking forward to sharing God’s Word and enjoying being with you on Sunday morning. May the God of truth find you to be pure and innocent in His sight. God bless you and have a marvelous day! In His Matchless Grace, Pastor...

“I’m Sorry, But Not That Kind of Sorry” – July 24th, 2024

Dear Church Family, It is easy to say the words, “I’m sorry.” It’s more difficult to mean it. It’s easy to say, “I’ll change.” It’s a challenge to really change my thinking, my will, and my heart. “When We Are Spiritually Unprepared” – July 17th, 2024

“When We Are Spiritually Unprepared” – July 17th, 2024

Dear Church Family, I am easy to surprise and enjoy surprises. Melinda and I were surprised on our 25th wedding anniversary. I have been surprised for my 40th, 50th, and 60th birthdays. Those kind of surprises are a joy and have only good consequences. Other surprises are not at all pleasant. We can be caught off guard which leads to us being the worst version of ourselves.. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 26:69-75. The title of the message is “When We Are Spiritually Unprepared.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are  Joshua 7:16-21,  2 Corinthians 3:5, and I Peter 4:7.  May the Lord richly bless our time together in His Word. Have a great day and a weekend that is highlighted by worshipping the One who is worthy of our praise. God bless you until Sunday! Because of Jesus, Pastor...

“Our Patient Lord” – July 3rd, 2024

“Our Patient Lord” – July 3rd, 2024

Dear Church Family, I’m truly grateful when others are patient with me. It’s a form of extending grace and who doesn’t like grace extended them? On the other hand no one enjoys having their shortcomings rubbed in their face, but everyone loves when people take into account their human frailties. No one is more patient with us than God. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 26:47-56. The title of the message is “Our Patient Lord.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Exodus 34:6-7, Romans 15:5, and 2 Peter 3:9. May we grow in our appreciation of God’s patience with each one of us. Have a wonderful fourth of July weekend culminated by our worship of the King of Kings. Because of Jesus, Pastor...
