“The Sign of His Coming: Part I” – February 28th, 2024

“The Sign of His Coming: Part I” – February 28th, 2024

Dear Church Family, There are many signs in life that I appreciate. There are few that I value more than the signs that spring is near. The warming temperatures, chirping birds, budding flowers shout loudly that spring is near. It’s almost here! The apostles wanted to know the sign of our Lord’s coming and the sign of His setting up His kingdom on earth. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 24:15-20. The title of the message is “The Sign of His Coming: Part I.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Isaiah 10:20-21, Daniel 12:7-13, and Psalm 91:1-16. May the Lord bless  our time together. May you enjoy the signs of spring and may the signs of His coming grow more clear every day. Have a great day in Jesus! In His Name, Pastor...

“The Sign of His Coming, Birth Pains: Part II” – February 7th, 2024

“The Sign of His Coming, Birth Pains: Part II” – February 7th, 2024

Dear Church Family, Growing up as the oldest of three boys with a masculine father I was not prepared for the labor and delivery of our first born child. I’m not sure that any man can be, but I was way more unprepared than most. How does one prepare for such a unique experience? The same can be said about the birth pain-like signs of Jesus’ second coming. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 24:9-14. The title of the message is “The Sign of His Coming, Birth Pains: Part II.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are John 15:18-25, Acts 20:29-32, and  2 Timothy 3:12. I am looking forward to our journey through Matthew 24. On Sunday evening Melinda and I will be hosting a super bowl party. All are invited to attend. Good food, great people, and hopefully an entertaining  game will be on the menu. Until Sunday, God bless you and stay close to Jesus! Because He Loves, Pastor...

Dear Church Family, Everyone thinks that they have lived through the toughest of times whether it’s the Great Depression, the Great Recession, or today with young people trying to come up with a down payment for a house. The truth of the matter is that when it comes to widespread devastation there is nothing like a seven year future period known as The Tribulation. On Sunday morning we will be looking at the beginning of that era. The title of the message is “The Beginning of Birth Pains.” Our text is Matthew 24:4-8. Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Isaiah 13:9-13, Jeremiah 30:5-7, and Revelation 12:7-9. I trust that you are blessed by a greater understanding of His Word. Dear Church Family, Asking questions is an important aspect of life. It’s the entrance to new information. Asking the right questions is critical to finding the right answer. Asking good questions demonstrates humility and a willingness to learn. Let’s never underestimate the need to ask good questions. “Generations of Guilt” – January 10th,, 2024

Dear Church Family, No one likes to be judged, especially when we are judged guilty by the party who is rendering the judgment. Generally the judgment is inconsequential aside from the negative emotions that it triggers within us. When the guilty judgment is rendered by God, however, that is a different matter. On Sunday we will be examining Matthew 23:29-36. The title of the message is “Generations of Guilt.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Deuteronomy 32:3-4, Psalm 5:4-7, and Revelation 18:17-20. May the Lord grant us wisdom and perspective as we spend time together in His Word. I pray that you will see life from the perspective of our flawless God as history unfolds every day. God bless you and stay close to Jesus. Safely In His Grasp, Pastor...

“The Heart of a Pharisee” – January 3rd, 2024

Dear Church Family, Things can be pretty much all right on the outside, but the inside can be all wrong. What makes that dynamic so dangerous is that we generally can fool ourselves and think that we are fooling God. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 23:23-28. The title of the message is “The Heart of a Pharisee.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Psalm 51:16-17,Isaiah 1:10-15, and John 18:28. May the Lord use His Word to enable us to have laser beam focus on the things that are important. May the Lord continue to work on you inside and out as He makes you more like Jesus.
