Dear Church Family, When someone is applying for a job and has little or no chance to secure the position, we would say that he is a bad candidate for the opening. When there is someone running for office and he has some major flaws, he is known as a bad political candidate. There is little hope for success in both situations. The same can be said of some people when it comes to knowing Jesus. On Sunday morning we will be looking at Matthew 16:1-4. The sermon title is “Bad Candidates for Salvation.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s word are Exodus 16:16-20,  John 8:42-43, and Acts 8:9-21. Dear Church Family, Persistence is a marvelous quality. The capacity to keep on when others have long given up has changed the course of history and the trajectory of peoples’ lives. It’s natural to be inspired by persistence, especially when it is expressed for the care or good of another. On Sunday we will be looking at Matthew 15:21-28. The title of the message is “The Mother Who Wouldn’t Let Go.” The qualities that we identify are true for anyone who perseveres in behalf of another.
