“I Swear to God” – March 3rd, 2021
Dear Church family,
There were sayings that did not make sense to me as a child and young person growing up. One of them was “cross my heart, hope to die.” That was a common phrase used to communicate that I am absolutely telling the truth. I always thought, “ who really is hoping to die and why would anyone have that desire?”
Telling the truth is extremely important and it is easy to miss the boat on that front. On Sunday we will be looking at Matthew 5:33-37. Our message title is “I Swear to God.” Other verses that will prepare you for the time in God’s word are James 5:12, Acts 2:30, and Genesis 47:29-31. May the Lord bless our time together on Sunday morning.
