“The Genealogy of the King” – July 15th, 2020
Dear Church Family, Researching one’s heritage has become big business. Multitudes have taken a saliva test, sent it in, and found out the makeup of their national origin. Others have done extensive research on their family tree, mostly for their own personal enjoyment. The Jews of our Lord’s day were interested in their genealogy for a number of reasons, the most important of which was to determine who might be their coming messiah. On Sunday we will begin our lengthy study through the book of Matthew. Our passage is Matthew 1:1-17 . The title of the message is “The Genealogy of the King.” Other verses that will prepare you for our time in God’s Word are Micah 5:2, Isaiah 7:14, and Zechariah 9:9-10. Dear Church family, One of the fastest and surest ways to stand out in a good way in our society is to be a man or woman of integrity. Integrity is in increasingly short supply. This provides us with a great opportunity to stand out for the Lord Jesus. On Sunday morning we will continue our series on the core values of Canton Grace Church. The title of Sunday’s sermon is “Core Value #4- Integrity.” Our text will be I Samuel 12.
