“The Genealogy of the King” – January 4th, 2018

Dear Church Family, Finding out our own genealogy has become big business in America. Sending a sample of one’s saliva can lead to an analysis of one’s national heritage. Many people have discovered that they are less of a certain nationality and that they part of another nationality that they had no idea was in their background. First century Jews were even more committed to knowing their genealogy for a number of reasons. No one has a more important or telling genealogy than the Lord Jesus. On Sunday in the contemporary service we will be looking at Matthew 1:1-17. The message title is “ The Genealogy of the King.” Other verses to prepare you for the morning message are Psalm 89:28-29, Galatians 3:16, and Ruth 4:5. The genealogy of our Lord tells us a great deal about Him. The traditional service will feature Bill Aiken from Israel’s Hope.
