The book, ‘Choosing Simplicity’ by Margaret Feinberg, which has been recommended by Women of Faith. There is a book that can be purchased online or at Lifeway stores. However, it is not necessary to have for the study. You will not want to miss her fresh insights into how to choose simplicity and stay close to Jesus in the midst of your many demands and responsibilities. “Faith and Obeying God” – August 27th, 2015

Dear Church Family, Many times in life we are unable to obey the Lord unless we first trust Him. For instance, we won’t take the risk of marrying someone unless we believe that this is the person that God wants us to spend the rest of our lives with. We won’t initiate a conversation with someone that has hurt us unless we believe that the Lord wants us to and that He will potentially use it for bringing about healing. We won’t try a new ministry unless we believe that God will likely bless our efforts. Trusting and obeying God goes hand in hand. I can’t think of any Bible character that had to trust God first before obeying Him more than Noah. On Sunday we will consider Hebrews 11:7 and the life of Noah with the message titled, “Faith and Obeying God.” Other pertinent verses are Ecclesiastes 12:13, I Peter 3:18-20, and I Timothy 6:17-18. We, like Noah, trust God first and then we obey Him. I trust that you will enjoy getting your family picture taken sometime in the next few days.
